its a bit boring but it has some (not very) funny bits in red.
RS COURSEWORK
A. Christians believe that, for an event to qualify as a miracle
it must be much out of the ordinary, wonders of Jesus which science
can not explain or something that obeys the laws of nature but
we don't understand them (yet). Some may disagree with this because
they may think a miracle is the son setting or when a child is
born people might say that these are miracles.
There has been many miracles preformed by Jesus one of his most
famous miracles was when he made a paralysed man walk, a paralysed
man got brought to Jesus, and Jesus could see the man had faith
and Jesus said "your sins are forgiven" as soon as Jesus
said his every one was shocked because in that time only God could
forgive your sins, Jesus thought to show that he was God he would
make this man walk again so he said to him "stand up"
and the man did because of the faith he had in God and in the
holy Kingdom, this is quite a good example of one of Jesuses miracle
because this demonstrates every thing that Christians have believed
to be a miracles, Jesus has some how made a paralysed man walk
it is something very much out of the ordinary and I am shore no
scientist could ever explain how Jesus did it. Jesus has preformed
many miracles there is another one on Luke 4:38-40 at the home
of Simon who's mother-in-law was very sick so Simon asked if Jesus
would heal him and so he did he knelt down and got rid of the
fever, as soon as this happened the mother-in-law got up and started
waiting on them, I believe this happened because her faith and
the son-in-laws faith as well. It takes faith to get healed take
the story of the Sower (Luke 8:-15) he scatters some seeds around
hard-hearted, faint-hearted, half-hearted and whole-hearted some
landed on the road and birds ate them, some landed in amongst
the thorns and got strangled, some landed on the rocks and withered
but some (whole-hearted) landed on the soil and grow, so you see
you have to have full faith in God and the holy kingdom to live
that is why these people lived. Another pete is stoopid miracle
and faith is (Luke 5:12-14), a man with leprosy went up to Jesus
and begged him "Lord if you are, willing, you can make me
clean". So Jesus touched him and said "I am willing,
be clean" and on that the leprosy left the man then Jesus
said that he should go see the priest and offer the sacrifices
that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them,
so this man to had faith in God. There is also another very famous
miracle the virgin birth, not only was that a miracle but everything
that followed it was as well, Mary was in her kitchen at this
time she was going to be married to Joseph, then suddenly an angel
appeared and told her she was going to give birth to the son of
God and also told her to give birth to him in Bethlehem, no one
knows really why she followed what the angel told her to do but
it was all because of the faith in god, and she also told her
husband to be this he went as well and went and could not find
a bed any were so they slept in a stable thanks to one inn keeper,
there she gave birth to the son of God, Jesus while all that was
happening there was a star over the manger where they were and
three Shepard's and three wise men came to visit him they where
told to follow the star by another angel, there is also no reason
why the three shepherds should have gone but it was still because
of the faith they had in God.
Not only was the beginning of Jesus a miracle but so was the end,
he was put in a tomb and the tomb was blocked by a huge bolder
which took ten men or even more to block the tomb over, a week
went by and Mary came to see her son only to find that the stone
had been moved so she ran and got Simon Peter and all the other
disciples and told them, so they ran as fast as they could. When
they got there was the linen that they had used to rap up Jesus
was not on him any more, he was gone, then when every one had
gone home and Mary was left to grief, two angels appeared the
angels asked "why are you crying?" Mary replied "because
you have taken my lord away" on that she turned around and
saw Jesus, so she ran back and said she had seen Jesus, this is
a massive surprise and the only way anybody could explain this
is that it has to be a miracle or an act of God, Jesus had been
resurrected from the dead and come to tell us more of what we
should do with our lives.
B. Miracles (The kingdom) can be seen in the lifestyle of Christians,
who have similar disabilities as those who have been referred
to in the bible, many people have gained more faith in God and
the holy spirit after reading the bible, such as some Christians
have set up churches and camps for people with disabilities and
people come and offer them selves to if the amount of faith they
have will help cure there disabilities, it has actually been known
to happen. Some actually test there faith such as snake handlers
they will start dancing with a snake and wont stop until the snake
bites him/her then when this has happened they will crowd around
the person that has been bitten and start praying for him to stay
alive, if he/she dies they believe that he/she did not have enough
faith in the Lord Jesus, if he/she lives then they will do the
same thing in seven days, if you look on Luke 7 (faith of the
Centurion) is about a very sick Centurion who had some men sent
to Jesus who told him "This man deserves to have you do this,
because he loves our nation and has built our synagogue"
so Jesus healed him because he had faith and loved God.
There
is still miracles being preformed today such as just the other
day I was listening to the radio and there was an announcement
that a women had been cured of cancer, when there is actually
no cure for cancer. Also I know someone who is paralysed and the
doctors thought he was only going to live to the age of eighteen
and now he is thirty and he is actually a great believer in God
and the holy spirit he goes to church every week and also makes
the time to go to Christian gatherings, there is another man called
David Watson who is in a struggle with cancer in the colon and
liver, each January when he is in California he goes to a church
called the Vineyard at Yorba Linda, the church has grown from
nothing to 4000 people attending every week in four years, most
people think that the church is just an ordinary church but when
they go there they see miracles happening every day, not just
toothache, headaches, back troubles but the blind receive their
site, the deaf hear, the lame walk, this church and the people
in it probably hold great faith. Today Christians are following
what the bible says, by worshipping God and believing that they
should "fear no evil" because if they have enough faith
and will power then they believe that the disabilities they have
will vanish.
kingdom actually exists no one has ever seen it and the only way
people could find out that it exists is that if you die and if
that happens then you cant come back and say there is one. There
is so much suffering in the world such as September the eleventh,
how could all those people die, they didn't deserve to and now
we are at war with them and other things like child abuse, rape,
murder's, stealing if all these things are happening how could
the God be real because if he was then none of this would be happening
and the world would be at piece.
Also many Christians say things and never do anything about it
such as they sometimes say to people who have just been in a very
emotional situation that every thing will work out fine if you
have faith but this never happens, you will still have memories
and feelings about what happened.
I can see why some people may disagree with this though because
you may not be able to see the holy kingdom you can still believe
in it after all, Jesus is a great proof that God exists because
he was Gods son and after all the things that he did cure people
of leprosy. He also told us the ten commandments so if we did
followed what Jesus told us then we probably would live in piece
but as we don't then this is why all these terrible things are
happening. So many peoples lives have changed from having faith
in God they now have hope in that there disabilities will vanish
and are happy and because of this the Christian churches are growing
immensely like the church called Vineyard in Yorba Linda four
years ago nobody went now there is four thousand people are attending.
Also from all of this there is enough proof to prove that miracles
do seem to still happening like that woman who was cured of cancer
and that man David Watson who was also cured of cancer and also
in the bible there was miracles happening like the "healing
of the paralytic" and all the others, all miracles today
and back then have proved that to be healed you most have faith.
My conclusion is that the holy kingdom is real because of the
all the miracles that have happened and are still happening also
it makes sense that if we followed what Jesus told us what to
do with our lives the world would be a much better place but many
people don't so this is why we have war, stealing, hate, and fighting.
